Karen
Garscadden,
Event Director
Karen
"G" has a background in recreation leadership
and began her planning career working on community events
and programs. Karen was on board at Canada's Wonderland
as part of the groundbreaking team. Her role was in Human
Resources where she was responsible for recruitment and
staff motivation. Following her Wonderland experience Karen
began her own consulting business planning weddings. Her
business continued to grow which led to the expansion and
creation of Up
& Coming Events as we know it today.
Karen
has excellent organizational and leadership skills and makes
things happen. Not only is Karen creative and fun-loving,
but her enthusiasm is contagious. Her ability to communicate
well enables her to build solid relationships with both
colleagues and clients. |

Jacobs, Event Director
Karen
has an Honors Degree in Physical Education, which launched
her career as an executive in the health training and fitness
counselling field. From there she moved into Government Recreation
Programming and then branched into planning large-scale
events for the City of North York. It was through this experience
that the "two Karens" met and combined their resources
to create Up
& Coming Events.
Karen
thrives on new challenges and is highly motivated. She uses
innovative approaches and strategies in coordinating special
events. Her patient, friendly and professional approach
in dealing with clients has drawn an incredible amount of
return business. Karen loves what she does, and it shows! |

Steiner, Event Coordinator
Judy
comes to Up
& Coming Events with a background in client services and many years of event
planning in the Wedding, Bar and Bat Mitzvah industry. Her
experience has brought her to many of Toronto's prime venues
and she has established a great working relationship with
many professionals in the industry. Her caring manner and
sensitivity, as well as attention to detail makes her an
exceptional event coordinator. |

Mona earned her Bachelor's
Degree in Commerce at the University of Toronto. Her innate people skills makes her a natural in the event industry. Mona's organization, resourcefulness
and eye to detail ensures that events run smoothly and efficiently.
Mona's friendly and outgoing personality makes all our clients
and vendors feel comfortable. |

in administration, management and sales.
Murielle is resourceful, creative and very hands on. She is truly the magic behind the scenes that makes things happen. Her excellent organizational skills and friendly personality are the foundation of her hospitality skills. |

Debi
makes sure everything adds up! She has been on board with Up
